The Humours of the Eye

The front part of the eye (between the lens and the cornea) is filled by the aqueous humour. As their names imply, the vitreous humour is a kind of gel while the aqueous humour is more watery.

According to Wikipedia, the vitreous humour is more properly known as the vitreous body, but is often referred to simply as 'the vitreous'.
